On September 1-2, 2021, CMU-IPTBM, in partnership with DOST X, had conducted the Intellectual Property Valuation Workshop via Zoom. The IP Valuation workshop will helpo the researchers determine the value of their IP assets which is a primary factor for commercialization. The online IP valuation workshop was attended by faculty researchers who have IP applications, both granted and still on prosecution, and their Research Assistants. Also, faculty members from the Accountancy Department and Agribusiness Department who could be potential in-house lecturers on IP valuation were also invited. Other interested faculty members also joined the IP Valuation Workshop in preparation for their future IP endeavors.

Atty. Jerry Serapion, ITSO Manager of the Philippine Rice Research Institute, was the invited speaker of the said event. He trained 58 CMU participants about IP Valuation using Income, Market, and R&D approaches. From the number of participants, there were 40 faculty researchers who were able to join the event; thus exceeded the target of 20 faculty researchers trained on IP Valuation by 100% for the Quarter 3 deliverable.
